I have some good news and some even better news. The good news is that RE/MAX Cayman Islands just joined LuxuryRealEstate.com, expanding our global network even further into the Caribbean. The even better news is that Kass Canada Coleman, the Broker/Owner of Beachcastles and an agent with RE/MAX Cayman Islands is No. 6 on the list of top international RE/MAX brokers, based on residential commissions paid from January through April 2008.

Rollie Jordan of The Kentwood Company at Cherry Creek, Colorado was recently awarded 5th place among all Denver REALTORS® for total sales volume in 2008! This award was presented by the Denver Board of REALTORS® at their annual roundtable awards luncheon.

Rollie is a long-standing member of LuxuryRealEstate.com and Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate. She has listed many of the landmark listings in the greater Denver Metropolitan area. She is currently one of the listing agents for Greystone Manor in Evergreen, Colo. listed for $24,000,000 USD. This listing is truly one of a kind in the state of Colorado. The listing is set upon 57 acres with seven outbuildings, including an entertainment pavilion.

I’ve been a fan of Forbes since I helped usher in our first “Best of the Web” and “Forbes Favorite” awards back in the year 2000. Since then, we’ve continued to earn “Best of the Web” status and I continue to tune in. Recently, I noticed an analysis of America’s Recession-Proof Cities by Joshua Zumbrun.

Don’t fret if your community is not listed in this particular article, there are many more:
Rebecca Ruiz files a special report after extensive research regarding America’s Best Cities For The Outdoors and while we choose to provide our high net worth private clients some privacy, Lauren Sherman satisfies the curiosity of those insatiable for scoop regarding their favorite stars in Second Homes Of The Stars. The list goes on and on of course. At the end of the day, I find there are talking points and real estate opportunities everywhere. Remember, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: all real estate is global.

After our 6th Annual Luxury Real Estate Spring Retreat, Marie Montchal, Senior Vice President of Relocation and Ancillary Services at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty was kind enough to send us this fantastic brass whale. According to Daniel Gale legend, this whale is one of the few remaining whales cast to market the “Daniel Gale Whale” – we are lucky to have it!

Congratulations to Betsy & Brian Losh, of Ewing & Clark Inc. in Seattle, WA. Yesterday, March 11th, at the Kerry Oliver Guild Luncheon Brian and Betsy were honored by the Seattle Children’s Home for their years of service and support.

Since 1884, Seattle Children’s Home (SCH) has been taking care of the special needs of children and their families. At SCH, a full spectrum of care is offered. Services range from residential treatment with 24-hour nursing and psychiatric services to less-intensive counseling visits. Many LuxuryRealEstate.com members give back to their communities throughout the year. It is always wonderful to see recognition for these tireless efforts.

The Real Estate Top 200 rankings were announced this month at the National Association of REALTORS’® Annual Conference & Expo in Las Vegas at a gala awards presentation and dinner.

The Walt Danley Group, a LuxuryRealEstate.com member in Phoenix, Arizona, achieved a closed sales volume of $245,638,856 and is ranked sixth among real-estate teams nationwide by sales volume. Although sales units closed were down nearly 20 percent in 2006, the nation’s top 200 real estate professionals were within 5 percent of the record they achieved in 2005.

The Paradise Valley real-estate team is led by Walt Danley, who last year achieved a No. 3 ranking among 126,000 Coldwell Banker sales associates worldwide. Danley was named one of the “35 Most Influential People in Luxury Real Estate” in 2006, along with such names as Donald Trump and Jack Nicklaus. This is also the fourth consecutive year Danley has been ranked as the top Coldwell Banker agent in Arizona. Danley sold more luxury real estate than any other real-estate agent in the State of Arizona during 2006, regardless of company affiliation.

“Becoming a member of The Real Estate Top 200 is no small feat, considering these accomplished professionals are competing against more than one million real estate agents nationwide,” said Anne Randolph, publisher of lore Magazine. “It is an elite group, and this national recognition is our way of saluting the hard work and accomplishments of America’s top real estate agents like Walt Danley.”
