Local businesses as diverse as Starbucks, Microsoft, Nordstrom, Red Mill Burgers, and Ewing & Clark all stepped up to donate and save Seattle's Family 4th at Lake Union after a single corporate sponsor failed to be procured in time. Radio host Dave Ross and chef Tom Douglas led the effort to raise $500,000 in just one day.
