Personal thoughts from within the Luxury Real Estate network

On Friday October 23rd, I had a private meeting with United States Senator Maria Cantwell. Senator Cantwell sits on the US Senate Committee on Finance. I invited Lennox Scott of John L. Scott to join us.

In the meeting, which lasted about 90 minutes, Lennox Scott articulated the NAR position on future legislation and I spoke on the need for tax incentives to benefit and affect all levels of real estate.

I encourage you, as a leader in your community, to contact your states’ Senators and Members of the House of Representatives regarding the need for legislation that will stimulate the entire United States economy. We need a plan to encourage people to buy real estate at all levels – primary homes, 2nd and 3rd homes, and investment properties – which in turn will stimulate the housing economy which in turn will create jobs in construction, landscaping, furniture, decorating, etc, and in turn bolster the global economy.

I would like you to read these comments from our membership and the greater real estate community. I would encourage you to make your own comments and then I would further encourage you to use all of this information to get the real estate marketplace moving again, creating jobs and prosperity throughout the world.

Let’s flex our collective and powerful muscle to make a difference around the world as soon as possible.

Best Regards,

John Brian Losh
