By Meghan Barry

I’ve always been impressed by the members of our network and their overwhelming dedication to their craft. Being a luxury real estate professional, and being successful, takes a lot of hard work and long hours. It’s a 24/7 commitment. Even if you are not a luxury specialist, real estate is a time-consuming career.

With the prevalence of real estate agent Bloggers out there, one has to ponder (and bear with me, I’m not trying to pick a fight; I’m just playing the devil’s advocate for the naysayers) – Should these agents be spending time on social networking? Shouldn’t they be out there pounding the pavement to sell houses? If you are truly a success, will you have the time to keep up on your Blog?

Editor’s Note:
Meghan Barry is the Executive Vice President of LuxuryRealEstate.com. She works closely with CEO John Brian Losh to organize a variety of Luxury Real Estate programs, events and services. Meghan brings up some excellent questions, and I’d like to suggest a possible answer. There will probably always be a need for tried-and-true methods of buying and selling real estate. But as times change and technology improves, we should be flexible and take advantage of new, productive means of reaching potential clients. It’s all a matter of balance. Perhaps we should ask ourselves, “How do we make time to blog?”
